The team at Strategic Behavioral Center-Wilmington offers several levels of care to meet the needs of our community for children, adolescents and geriatric patients. These mental health programs are structured and designed to support those who are struggling with a mental health challenge in their life.
Our goal is to help children, adolescents and geriatric patients who are suffering from emotional and behavioral health problems. We help them to stabilize and improve their clinical status. We work closely with referral sources, families, and community agencies to return them to their daily activities in their homes and school environments.

Strategic Behavioral Center’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program offers long-term treatment for youth, adults and seniors with ongoing behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric challenges. Treatment is individualized for each resident, and we encourage parents/guardians to participate actively in their child’s or family member’s treatment. Patients work with a personalized team of therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and residential support staff to ensure safety and promote the practice of behavioral management skills. This program provides treatment in a safe, structured, secure therapeutic setting, and is ideal for patients who are experiencing serious mental health or behavioral problems that impair their ability to participate in their schools, their communities, their jobs and in their home environments.
